join us at Creative Mornings
in May, June and July
Any one attending will add a layer of their story through collage, drawing, stamping or writing. The end result will be photographed and printed as a set of postcards that people to send off to continue connecting with others anywhere in the world.
Creative Mornings takes place the last Friday of the month, with registration (free) the Monday prior at 11am! Head to their website to jump on their newsletter and get a reminder about registration! We hope to see you there!
A 4-part series of open discussion forums and community collaborative art making sessions taking place monthly from March to June 2018, at various locations in Asheville. Each session will feature a guest speaker and topics include Racial Equity, LGBTQ Equality, Interfaith Connections, and Immigration Reform. Participants are invited to share, listen and create in a judgement-free zone. The resulting artworks will serve as a reminder of how creative activity bridges gaps in experience, knowledge and understanding. click here for more!

Come see a selection of work from our youngest makers: our Visual Arts Preschool students, ages 3 to 6. It includes investigations into art movements, community and culture, storytelling, and creative play.

Drop off your child on Sunday mornings to join Miss Emma as she guides them in a playful yoga practice at Roots + Wings School of Art and Design.
This playful practice helps children increase mind and body awareness, strength, flexibility, focus and creativity.
Miss Emma currently teaches Preschool at Roots + Wings School of Art and Design. She has over 10 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. Emma holds an NC Teaching License in Elementary Education and is a certified yoga teacher. She can not wait to bring her knowledge, experience and creativity to the community!
